Lewis Hamilton wins 2024 F1 British Grand Prix as it happened

Stroll v Leclerc appears to be the main battle on track currently with the Aston Martin 3.5s behind Sainz ahead.

The gap at the front is staying around the 1.4s mark, while Verstappen is running 1.5s behind Hamilton.

Russell puts in the fastest lap of the race to extend the gap to Hamilton up to 1.2s and crucially breaks DRS.

"Rain potentially in 25 minutes."

Russell, Hamilton, Verstappen, Norris, Piastri, Sainz, Stroll, Leclerc, Hulkenberg, Alonso, Tsunoda, Albon, Sargeant, Zhou, Riccardo, Ocon, Magnussen, Bottas, Perez and Gasly. 

Russell maintains the lead ahead of Hamilton, while Verstappen gets ahead of Norris through the opening sequence of corners.

Russell reports on team radio: "There's no standing water but the track feels very slippery. Quite strange."
